Uhmegle review

When Omegle closed in November 2023, a wave of clones appeared within weeks. Uhmegle is the one that copied the original most literally, down to the two blue buttons and the interests box.

What it does well

• The nostalgia is accurate. If you used Omegle, you already know how to use this.
• Text and video are both there, and text is not treated as a second-class mode.
• Interest tags still shape matching, which is the feature Omegle veterans miss most.

Where it falls short

• The interface is as dated as the site it copies, and mobile is an afterthought.
• Moderation is inconsistent, and the reporting flow gives you little feedback.
• Connection quality on video varies a lot depending on where you are.

Worth trying?
